Well this is interesting. I just tested and confirmed that I can create hyperlinks in the Family Tree Tops artwork. That opens up a lot of possibilities!
So, if you are connected to the Internet while browsing your family tree art, clicking a hyperlink can take you to any url (address). Suppose you are reading the top-down view of your family tree and you click on John Smith. The hyperlink can open a details page. This is done on WikiTree, for example, in the family tree view. Click here to try it. When you click on my mom or dad’s name, a detailed profile is opened.
Suppose you are on your computer and you privately keep family photos of everyone in your family tree. You are showing your child and wish to display a photograph. Click on Cousin Sam and her photograph pops up. It’s a simple example, but you get the idea, totally cool!
Now I can say that our unique family tree art can be delivered digitally. Deliveries were always PDF files but now they can have hyperlink capabilities. Each name in your family tree can be text that you can edit and hyperlink yourself using Adobe Acrobat 9.0. The simple PDF reader will not work for this editing but it will work for viewing links.
